Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputies Had A Busy Labor Day Weekend

Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies had a busy Labor Day Weekend. Between Friday and Monday, deputies responded to a total of 781 calls for service. Of the calls, 207 involved forest and community patrols. Deputies conducted 95 traffic stops, 70 business checks and had 39 emergency medical calls. Deputies also made 32 contacts with OHV’s, ten of which were crash-related with one crash involving a fatality. Of the 95 traffic stops, 17 were for speeding, two of which were criminal speed offenses. Deputies also made two DUI arrests, both were DUI/Drugs. Sixty people were booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility over the weekend. Thirteen of them were at the Page facility.
