Coconino County Health Officials Say A Case Of The Measles Has Been Reported In The County, Specifically The Flagstaff Area

Coconino County Health and Human Services officials say a case of the measles has been reported in the county, with another probable case. Health officials have identified five public locations where people may have been exposed to the measles as a result of the cases. If you were at any of these locations at the listed date and time, be aware of measles symptoms. Planet Fitness at the Flagstaff Mall Sunday, February 11th from 11 p.m. to Monday, February 12th at 9 a.m., Joann Fabric and Craft at 1514 South Riordan Ranch Road Thursday, February 29th from noon until 4 p.m., Flagstaff Medical Center Emergency Room Sunday, March 3rd and Tuesday, March 5th and SimonMed Imaging Monday, March 4th. Symptoms from measles generally appear one-to-three weeks after a person is exposed. Symptoms are: high fever, cough, feeling run down and achy, red, watery eyes, runny nose and a blotchy rash. Anyone with these symptoms should see their healthcare provider immediately.
