Coconino County Board Of Supervisors To Hold Public Hearing And Vote On Short-Term Rental Ordinance August 8th

The Coconino County Board of Supervisors will discuss and vote on the final draft of a short-term rental ordinance after a public hearing August 8th. If passed, it would become illegal in unincorporated neighborhoods to list a short-term rental or vacation property without complying to the ordinance. Regulations highlighted in the current draft include requiring property owners to maintain permits, notify their neighbors and prohibit large gatherings that would have an adverse effect on the surrounding neighbors. Supervisor for District 3 Matt Ryan said in January, “Albeit limited, we now have a very important tool that will promote voluntary compliance and encourage people to be good neighbors.” The public hearing is scheduled during the Board’s regular meeting time at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8th. Members of the public can access the meeting over Zoom or streamed live on YouTube. All comments need to be submitted 24 hours ahead of the meeting.
