Coconino Beats Flagstaff In Boys Basketball Wednesday 55-44

The Flagstaff Eagles and Coconino Panthers met on the court for the final time this regular season Wednesday night at Coconino. Flagstaff won the first meeting and was trying to complete the season sweep. The Panthers had other plans. The Eagles led for most of the game, until the fourth quarter where Coconino hit shots and Flagstaff had a hard time finding the basket, as the Panthers won the second meeting 55-44. Orion Huayhualla led the Panthers with 15 points and sophomore guard Hashkee Nelson added 13 points, 12 in the second half in the win. Connor O’Brien-Piubeni led all scorers with 17 points and Camden Hagerman came off the bench to add 12 points for the Eagles. Coconino has one game left on the schedule as they travel to Bradshaw Mountain next Thursday. Flagstaff hosts Mohave tomorrow.
