CCSO Responded To Nearly 1,000 Calls For Service In Three Days Of Memorial Day Weekend

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to nearly a thousand calls for service over the three day, Memorial Day, holiday weekend. Of the 993 calls for service, 328 were forest and community patrols and 221 were traffic stops. Of the traffic stops, only 12 resulted in arrests and 82 citations were given to drivers. Deputies only made five arrests for DUI over the long weekend. One was was arrested for aggravated DUI after the driver was driving at a high rate of speed on Lake Mary Road with two kids under the age of six unrestrained in the vehicle. CCSO says they booked 65 people into the Coconino County Detention Facility over the weekend.
