CCSO Responded To 853 Calls Over Fourth Of July Weekend

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to 853 calls over the Fourth of July Weekend. Officials say of those calls, CCSO responded to a total of 363 forest and community patrol calls. They made 15 arrests and two arrests for driving under the influence. CCSO also made 152 traffic stops and administered 37 speeding and traffic citations. The 853 calls for service from July 4th through July 7th, were both citizen and officer-initiated. Officials said they concentrated on enforcement measures relating to off-highway vehicle operations, illegal campfires, and other prohibited high-risk activities.
