The Search For A Man Who Was Possibly Shooting At Vehicles On Highway 99 Wednesday Night Is Over After He Was Arrested

The search for a man wanted for reportedly shooting at vehicles Wednesday night is over as he has been taken into custody. Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say the incident took place at around 6:42 p.m. in an area known as Turquoise Ranches. When DPS troopers arrived at the scene they found a man, who immediately ran west from the roadway. They were unable to find him. Members of Northern Arizona Regional SWAT and a DPS Ranger helicopter were called to the scene to try and find the suspect. After searching for several hours, the search was called off. An emergency message was sent out to residents in the area. Ryan Chee, principal of Leupp School sent a notice out Thursday morning saying the man was taken into custody by Navajo Police, which CCSO confirmed. No one was injured.
