Bright Angel Point Trail Closure At The Grand Canyon In Place June 21

The Bright Angel Point Trail to Bright Angel Point on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon will be closed starting Friday, June 21 for the protection of staff and visiting public during an extensive repair effort. The National Park Service will replace asphalt, move large rocks, and operate equipment in the area. Transept Trail and North Rim Scenic Roads are anticipated to remain open through the duration of the project. The project is expected to be completed by November, however, schedules and closures may change or be delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
