A new wildfire burning north of Payson has two scout camps in “SET” for evacuations. The Brady Fire is burning eleven miles north of Payson and was first reported Sunday at 2 p.m. and has grown to 285 acres. The camps in “SET” are Camp Geronimo, which is a Boy Scout camp and Shadow Rim Ranch, which is a Girl Scout camp. Annual summer camp events are finished for the season. The fire is burning in rough terrain and there is no containment. A Type-1 team will take over managing the fire Monday evening. The cause of the Brady Fire is under investigation.
