Body Of A Missing Rafter Found Friday At The Bottom Of The Grand Canyon

The body of a missing rafter has been recovered at the Grand Canyon. National Park Service personnel were notified Friday of a body that was recovered near river mile 6. Initial information indicates the body is that of 58-year-old Thomas Robison of Sante Fe, New Mexico. He is the man who attempted to travel down the Colorado River with his dog on a homemade wooden raft. The body has been taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner to confirm the identification. There’s no information about his dog. The incident is under investigation.
