Two People Were Killed In A Fatal Accident Monday Night In Flagstaff

Two people were killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday night in Flagstaff. Flagstaff Police say a four-door BMW was westbound on East Industrial Drive and left the roadway driving through landscaped area and ramming into a steel beam supporting one of the parking structures of the Aquaplex. Susan, who witnessed the accident, tells KAFF News she was in the parking lot at the time, and so was another person. She and the person both had previous medical training, so they immediately went to the crash site to help. Susan said it took four minutes for first responders to arrive after they started treating the people. Flagstaff Police say two people were pronounced dead at the scene, with a third taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment with serious injuries. The men who passed away are 45-year-old Kyle Ashley of Flagstaff and 29-year-old Chad Thompson of Leupp. Susan says the accident “happened so fast and was the most brutal accident I’ve witnessed.” Authorities closed the area, and the Aquaplex parking lot, overnight to investigate the accident. Investigators continue to work to determine more details and contributing factors related to the cause of the accident.
