Arizona State Troopers arrested a suspect, wanted in connection with a homicide in New Mexico, after a standoff in Chambers Monday morning. DPS says the chase started in New Mexico with New Mexico State Police and then the suspect entered Arizona, which is when a standoff with state troopers began. The standoff reportedly took place on the westbound off-ramp of Interstate-40 at Exit 325. Witnesses say about a dozen law enforcement vehicles, including a helicopter, were surrounding a dark-colored sports car at the time. Fortunately, the standoff ended peacefully when he surrendered without incident. There’s no additional information about the suspect, or anything more about the crime he was wanted for.
