Arizona State Climate Office Releases Comparison Of Precipitation Levels

The Arizona State Climate Office has released a comparison between the current precipitation levels and the total precipitation from last January. It’s no surprise the amount of rain and snow in Flagstaff is down about four-and-a-half inches compared to the behemoth of a winter that was in lumberjack country last year. Payson is down by about four-inches and Prescott needs about two more inches to catch up to the levels of precipitation they received last year. Winslow, however, has more precipitation this year than it did in the entire month of January in 2023, with about a quarter-of-an inch more.
