ADOT Set For More Road Work On State Route 89A, In Oak Creek Canyon, In June

Drivers can expect daytime road closures in Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona in the upcoming weeks. The Arizona Department of Transportation is restricting certain roadways for a few days at a time spread out over June. As part of the State Route 89A Oak Creek Canyon Improvements Project, crews will be working on rockfall mitigation, erosion control and bridge rehabilitation. State Route 89A will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. to all traffic between the Owenby Way roundabout and the Midgley Bridge picnic area from June 20th to the 22nd and then again on June 27th to the 28th. Single-lane restrictions between the Owenby Way roundabout and Oak Creek Vista will take place from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June 5th through the 16th, and on June 19th, 23rd, 26th, 29th and 30th.
