ADOT has reopened State Route 89A north of Sedona. Crews worked this week to remove loose rocks and unstable material from a slope along the highway, to create safer conditions for travel. While the highway has reopened, the road surface is rough due to the removal of damaged pavement from falling rocks during blasting. To repave the road, ADOT has narrowed State Route 89A to one lane only, with alternating north and southbound travel between the Owenby Way roundabout and the Midgley Bridge picnic area through 6 p.m. Saturday. Onsite flaggers and a pilot car are directing drivers through the work zone.
