A Prescott Teenager Was Seriously Injured After Being Hit By A Vehicle Monday Night In Prescott

A Prescott teenager was seriously injured when the person was hit by a vehicle Monday evening as the teen was trying to cross Willow Creek Road in Prescott. Officers responded to the intersection of Flora Street and Willow Creek Road at around 7 p.m. Investigators say a 59-year-old Prescott resident, driving a Hyundai sedan, was heading north on Willow Creek Road in the curb lane. She collided with a 16-year-old Prescott teenager who was trying to cross the road. Prescott Fire and EMS crews responded to the scene. The teenager suffered injuries to his head and was flown from Yavapai Regional Medical Center West to a Phoenix area hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not cited and neither speed nor impairment are believed to have been a factor in the accident. The area was closed for three hours in both directions as the investigation took place.
