A Pedestrian Was Seriously Injured After A Car Crashed Into Her While She Was Standing On The Sidewalk Monday Evening In Flagstaff

One person was seriously injured, and later passed away, after she was standing on the sidewalk and was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of West Route 66 and Riordan Road Monday evening. Officers responded to the scene at around 6:02 p.m. after a report of the accident. When they arrived they found 20-year-old Liana Skow of Flagstaff serious injured. Medical personnel responded and began life-saving measures on her. She was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Investigators say Skow was a pedestrian standing on the sidewalk at the intersection when a two-vehicle accident took place, which resulted in one of the vehicles crashing into her. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the accident and it remains under investigation.
